OooOOOOOOooo! It's classic horror, the sun sets all-to-quickly and you're totally in the dark. Instead, you find the walls covered in manic scribbles and drawings, and suddenly, a blood-curdling scream.
But when you arrive at Kate's house, she's nowhere to be found. You play as Lauren, and begin the game by paying a visit to your friend Kate. Yeah, especially since you have more to interact with this time, but we'll get to that. I'm not sure the same positive note couple be applied to the simplicity of the actual mechanics, though, I would have liked them to develop that a little more. Yes, the core game is still the same, which is good, because the Slender owes a lot of its scares to its simplicity, but with help from Blue Isle studios, the sequel is visually a bit better, and is a little more fleshed out as well. Slender man proves as terrifying as ever, the moment I booted up this game I had chills, and nothing had even really happened yet. It's amazing how a forum meme has managed to gain so much momentum that it now has two games. With the unexpected success of the short but terrifying indie horror download, Slender, it's not surprising to see a sequel to follow it up, Slender: The Arrival.
